Bug logging in (through web)
-
Hi.
When i log in, i always click the “keep me logged in” button.
Sometimes i do accidentally log out, and after i did 2 times in a row, i decided to report this bug.
After putting my password and username in, it takes ages to load. It looks like this:

Usually when i know i’ve logged in, a rolling football with different tips underneath appears, but that happens after a random amount of tries which is time consuming. When it starts to load like this, i have to refresh the page, try agin, and the same thing happens. It takes ages to log in. In summary, when i try to log in, the rolling football appears after x amount of retries which is very frustrating and time consuming, and usually, the button turns grey, as seen in the picture, and loads forever.
Please fix this bug… -

Please fix this bug…Hi there,
I just tested this myself and I don't have any issues to log in. Neither when I activate the 'keep me logged in' function, manually log out and then loggin back in with that function activated again. So this seems like it's something on your end.

I know it doesn’t happen to anyone else. How can i fix it?Well, the most obvious one is to not accidentaly manually log out
Otherwise, it's the usual suspects:
- perhaps OSM is just a bit slower in general at that time
- clear cookies and cache
- check if loading is also slow when using another browser or even another device
- check your internet connection
- check if firewall is blocking anything
- make sure that all hardware and software are up-to-date
- do a full diagnostics and clean up of your pc/laptop
